The main active ingredients are Taurine, Glycine,
Glucuronolactone, Pantothenic Acid, Vitamin B 6, Vitamin B 12 and
Caffeine
Taurine is an amino
acid that occurs naturally in many tissues of the body, particularly
in the brain, eyes, heart and muscles. The Taurine level in the
brain is quite high during fetal development, but drops off dramatically
with age. It plays a role in improving glucose tolerance, making
it helpful in regulating blood sugar. It also has a positive effect
on the transmission of nerve impulses and may have a role in the
reduction of blood pressure. When combined with glucuronolactone
and caffeine, Taurine stimulates an improvement in mental alertness
and physical endurance.
Glycine is an amino
acid that has many functions in the body. It is used by the nervous
system to regulate nerve transmission. It is also involved with
many of the energy producing mechanisms in the body.
Glucuronolactone is
produced in the human body as a result of glucose metabolism. Glucuronolactone
is included in RedStar’s “energy” formulas for
its ability to reduce sleepiness and fatigue. Medical studies suggest
that it improves mental performance, concentration and memory. There
have also been studies that show enhanced physical endurance when
it is combined with taurine and caffeine.
Pantothenic Acid, Niacinamide,
Vitamin B6 and Vitamin B12 are water soluble B vitamins.
As most B vitamins, they assist the body in converting carbohydrates
in glucose for energy. They also help in maintaining a proper functioning
nervous system, normal cardiac function and hormonal regulation,
such as adrenal gland hormones.
Caffeine is included
in RedStar Energy to allow you to maximize
the benefits of Glucuronolactone (enhanced physical endurance, improved
mental performance, concentration and memory). The amount of caffeine
in one RedStar Energy serving is the
amount equivalent to drinking a small cup of coffee.
